How can we help?

Answers to the most common questions. Still stuck? Email us — we read every message.

Do I need to create an account?

No. There's no sign-up and no login. Open the app, enter a name if you like, and start adding what you own and owe.

Does OyenKu connect to my bank?

No. You enter your balances yourself, usually once a month. OyenKu never asks for your banking login.

Where is my data stored? Can you see it?

Your accounts and history are stored encrypted on your phone. We never see them.

The app only goes online for purchases (through the App Store or Google Play) and, if you have an account in another currency, to download the day's exchange rates — which sends currency codes only, never your balances.

How do I move to a new phone?

On your old phone, go to Settings › Export Backup, choose a password and save the file somewhere safe, like iCloud Drive, Google Drive or your computer.

On the new phone, install OyenKu, then go to Settings › Restore Backup, pick the file and enter the same password.

I forgot my backup password.

We're sorry — it can't be recovered. OyenKu never stores your password, so nobody can open the file without it. If you still have the phone with your data, make a new backup with a password you'll remember.

I bought Pro but it isn't showing.

Go to Settings › Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account you bought it with. If it still doesn't appear, email us.

What happens if my Pro subscription ends?

Nothing is deleted. You can still see, update and delete every account. Only the Pro features pause — adding accounts beyond the free 5, older history, Excel downloads, the net worth target and the estate PDF. Subscribe again and it all comes back.

Why are some amounts grey in History?

A grey amount wasn't updated that month, so OyenKu used the value from the month before. Update the account to replace it.

Which KWSP accounts should I add?

Either one "KWSP" account for your total balance, or Persaraan, Sejahtera and Fleksibel separately. On the free plan, all your KWSP accounts together use just one of your 5 slots.

Can I track accounts in other currencies?

Yes — SGD, USD, AUD, GBP, EUR, HKD, JPY and CAD. Enter the amount in its own currency; OyenKu converts it at the day's reference rate (European Central Bank), and all totals stay in ringgit.

Who should I give the estate PDF to?

Only people you trust — your spouse, a family member or your executor. Share the password separately from the file, for example by telling them in person.

How do I delete all my data?

Go to Settings › Reset OyenKu. It deletes everything from your phone — export a backup first if you might want it back. Uninstalling the app also removes it. We hold no copy.
